Welcoming Bunbury Senior High School
We are thrilled to announce that Bunbury Senior High School in Western Australia has joined Vivedus! As the second government school to partner with us, Bunbury is taking a bold step in transforming teaching and learning. In April, Paul and Gabrielle will travel to Bunbury to spend two days with the school’s Torchbearer team of nine, providing professional development on our methodology and supporting their transition onto the Vivedus Platform.
To make this process seamless, our development team has uploaded the Western Australian Curriculum into the platform, allowing teachers to plan faster and align their lessons effortlessly with curriculum requirements.
Presenting at the ReimaginED Conference
While in Western Australia, Paul and Gabrielle will also be speaking at the Woodleigh Institute’s ReimaginED conference in Fremantle. This exciting event brings together some of the leading experts in learning design, assessment for learning, and educational innovation, including Professor Sandra Milligan, Dr. Peter Senge, Jan Owen, Professor Josh Byrne, Keren Caple, Louka Parry, Dave Runge, and Erica McWilliam. We’re excited to contribute to the conversation and share how Vivedus is reimagining learning.
Leadership Engagements
Our Managing Director has had a full schedule in March, running leadership workshops in Brisbane and Sydney. While in Western Australia, he has also been invited by the Department of Education to speak with a group of principals about building trust in leadership—an essential foundation for successful educational change.
Expanding Our Reach
Vivedus has officially submitted its application for assessment under the Australian and New Zealand governments’ Safer Technologies 4 Schools program. Once approved, Vivedus will be recognized as a secure and trusted platform for schools across both countries, providing peace of mind for those looking to adopt our technology. We already have strong interest from schools in New Zealand and are looking forward to expanding our presence there.
International Opportunities
In March, we hosted two days of intensive discussions with a company that supports teachers in international schools across Southeast Asia. The company was highly impressed with what Vivedus offers, and we are now negotiating a contract that could introduce Vivedus to its first overseas schools. These discussions complement our ongoing efforts to introduce Vivedus to more schools, both government and non-government, across Australia.
Lunch with Professor Anne Bamford
Paul and Gabrielle were grateful to have lunch with global leader in creativity in schools, Professor Anne Bamford. Anne has been the Strategic Director of Education, Culture and Skills for the City of London, is considered a global innovator in education. A former visual arts teacher and university lecturer, she has served as a world scholar for UNESCO from 2005-6, and has worked internationally to promote creativity, innovation, equity and diversity in education.
Anne went away incredible impressed with Vivedus saying, “what you have built is a game-changer for education.” She’s not the first to say that. These words were echoed by Dr Marie Perry, previous principal of MLC in Perth and Ipswich Girls Grammar School. Anne also said she wouldn’t be surprised if the OECD or Pearson offered to buy Vivedus and take it to the world. A tremendous encouragement that we are on the right track with what we have built.
Enhancing the Vivedus Platform
Our platform continues to evolve, making teaching easier and more effective. ViV-iT, our AI-powered pedagogical coach, is already embedded in unit planning and is now being integrated into lesson planning. This advancement means that ViV-iT will not only support teachers in structuring units but will also provide tailored lesson plans, differentiation strategies, and learner adjustments specific to each class. Essentially, ViV-iT acts as a highly experienced Lead Teacher, ensuring that every teacher using Vivedus operates at the highest professional standard.
Building a Community of Practice
Looking ahead, we are developing a Community of Practice module, designed to foster collaboration among teachers across Vivedus schools. This feature will allow educators to share lesson plans, resources, and strategies, reducing workload and improving teaching quality. It will be particularly beneficial for rural schools that may not have access to specialist teachers in every subject area.
What’s Next?
April promises even more growth, and we anticipate announcing at least two more schools joining Vivedus—one in New South Wales and another in Queensland. Stay tuned!
As always, we are grateful for the enthusiasm and support from our growing community. Together, we are taking learning beyond!
