Product development
We have a platform testing night on 16 July. A dozen teachers from a variety of schools are coming to test what we have developed and give us feedback. We are going to capture their responses on camera to create another marketing video.
We have been working with The Product Bus and a product manager to review our sales process and refine our marketing materials. As a result of that work, we are steering away from calling our product a “platform” or “system”. These terms make Vivedus sound like another Learning Management System (LMS), which we are not.
We have landed on the term, Learning Activation Model (LAM). With this term, we have refined our vision and purpose statements:
Our vision is: to activate creative intelligence.
Our purpose is: to provide schools and educators with a dynamic learning activation model that cultivates creative intelligence.
A Learning Activation Model is a framework designed to engage and motivate students by creating optimal conditions for learning. It focuses on activating key elements and conditions that enhance the learning experience, encouraging deeper understanding, creativity, engagement and self-determination. The model typically integrates various educational theories and practices to foster an environment where learners are actively involved and motivated.
Dimensions of Learning, Universal Design for Learning, Project-based Learning and Vivedus are all Learning Activation Models.
Early adopters
Paul Browning spoke at the NextEd conference held on the Gold Coast in June. Following that meeting a leading school system asked the team at Vivedus to present to their executive with the view of offering the Learning Activation Model to all their schools. We have follow up presentations booked for some of those schools.
We currently have registered interest from six schools across the country, not including the system we presented to last week. A Catholic Diocese has also invited us to present to their education commission in August.
Partners
We have been in conversation with a number of people and groups with the view to them partnering with us. This will be called our Ambassador program. Ambassadors will effectively become sales representatives for us, taking a commission for any new sale. This model will help us efficiently expand to other countries when we are ready.
Nick Burnett is our first Ambassador. Nick is a retired principal from the UK. He is a very well-connected educational consultant and entrepreneur. He is very excited about joining us and is already reaching out to schools to introduce them to Vivedus.
We are currently in conversation with a number of other movers and shakers in the education scene to join the Ambassador program.
We signed off on a contract with the University of Melbourne to design new creative intelligence assessment tools that will result in a warranted and credentialed Learner Profile that can be used alongside, or instead of ATAR. This relationship elevates our credibility considerably.
Marketing materials
We have created a new prospectus for Vivedus which you can see here.
On 12 July we are launching a campaign, calling for ‘early adopter’ schools. See the flier here. Our goal is to secure three schools to be part of the September on-boarding program.
