It has been another busy month for the team at Vivedus.
Highlights include meeting with the Queensland College of Teachers, who affirmed the work we have done in supporting teachers to build their own professional portfolio of evidence that they can use to apply for Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher (HALT). The Platform has been designed to significantly reduce the time a teacher takes to gather evidence for HALT, which without Vivedus, is the number one barrier to people making an application to be recognised as an exemplary teacher. We have a follow up meeting with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) in November about national HALT processes to ensure we meet the needs of every jurisdiction.
Another highlight was the meeting with the senior leadership team at the Queensland Department of Education, arranged by the State Minister for Education. They were equally impressed with what Vivedus has created and opened the door for government schools to run a pilot of Vivedus. As a result of that meeting, we presented to a large government school in north Brisbane, who are very interested in running a pilot in 2025, and a large government school in Western Australia who are keen to adopt Vivedus in 2026.
Our Managing Director has had a number of articles published in leading education journals including Independence and AEL, as well as an opinion piece with the Centre for Strategic Education (CSE), which is widely distributed.
Interest in Vivedus continues to grow with the Team meeting with at least two schools each week, schools from across the entire spectrum, government and non-government, small specialist schools to large high fee-paying schools.
We have begun advertising a series of professional development events for February 2025 to be held in centres across the country. Information about all these events can be found on our website.
Product Development.
We have made an exciting advancement in the product. The Development Team have created our own AI Chat within the Platform which we are calling Viv-it.
Viv-it operates like OpenAI’s ChatGPT but is our own internal AI, trained with the theory, research and all the assets we have created for Vivedus; i.e. it is designed specifically for Vivedus.
Viv-it is designed to provide teachers with continuous professional development in both the Vivedus approach and good teaching practice. It is a teacher’s personal coach, helping them to grow their capacity from where they are at.
Vivi-it makes it far simpler for schools wishing to adopt the Vivedus Learning Activation Model. With Viv-it, teachers will receive personalised support as they use the Platform to plan for learning. The exciting aspect of this is that for the very first-time professional development in pedagogy is going to be targeted to where an individual teacher needs it. Before now, this was only possible with a personal pedagogical coach.
Not only does Vivi-it provide professional development, but it also further reduces teacher administrative workload and increases quality.
