1. Introduction
To build trust, and therefore ensure the successful implementation of the Vivedus Platform and improve student outcomes, the data presented on Vivedus Principal Dashboard is designed to support agency, one of our core values at Vivedus. We aim for both student and teacher agency.
2. Teacher Agency
Teachers are empowered through:
- agency to plan learning for the needs of the students in their class;
- taking control of their own professional growth and development;
- controlling who sees the feedback data about their personal growth and development; and,
- the ability to give regular feedback about their work environment and principal, thereby promoting a continuous cycle of feedback and development for all.
3. Permitted Data Uses
The data on the Vivedus Platform should be used for:
- a celebration of good practice;
- checking that planning for teaching is occurring and that students' creative intelligence is nurtured;
- supporting a teacher to apply for Highly Accomplished or Lead status;
- whole school audits (NCCD and school accreditation);
- curriculum audits;
- informing school improvement plans; and,
- For the principal’s own leadership growth.
4. Prohibited Data Uses
With the exception of deadlines for planning, approval of Unit Plans, and the tagging of individual student adjustments for NCCD audit purposes, no other data can be used for the performance management of a teacher.
5. License Revocation
If data is used for purposes other than those intended, a school's Vivedus license may be revoked.
