Why are you involved in this project, Guy?
Think about someone you know who's really making a difference. They could be leading a big company, launching their start-up, or at the top of their chosen profession. Dig a little into their school history and you'll often find they didn’t fit in the usual educational paths. Maybe they didn’t finish high school, dropped out of university, or just scraped by. These unconventional thinkers, rule-benders and creatives frequently clashed with the rigidity of traditional education. They are not rare exceptions. They are quite common. Their stories show us that our global education system isn’t serving everyone's needs.
I’m one of these stories. School was never my thing. 'Guy is smart but doesn’t apply himself', was a recurring theme in my report cards. But outside school, I was in my element. By the time I started high school, I could play three instruments and was teaching myself Photoshop and 3D Studio Max for digital art and animation.
This is exactly why I'm so passionate about Vivedus. What would the world look like if we all had an education that ignited our passions and nurtured our unique talents?
